Free Speech

Freedom of speech is the right of a person to express and articulate their opinions and ideas without interference, retaliation, censorship or legal sanction. The term “speech” represents expression beyond only words, including also what a person wears, what they read, perform or protest. It is both the subject of intense philosophical debate and contentious legal disputes, although many people around the world live in societies where it is not acknowledged.
